About me
Born into a devout Hindu family in South India, Anand is the first in his lineage to step beyond his homeland, carrying the wisdom of his ancestors and raising his voice to be heard on the global stage. His journey is one of devotion, perseverance, and a deep commitment to sharing the transformative power of traditional yoga. Anand’s yoga journey began in childhood, leading him to become a certified Yoga Acharya Master from Sivananda Ashram and a Level 2 Ashtanga Practitioner under Vijay Kumar in Mysore. With over 15 years of teaching experience, his deep connection to conscious breathing has enriched both his spiritual practice and athletic pursuits.
Anand’s mastery of breathwork propelled him to victory in numerous OCR races and earned him the title of India’s national SUP champion, a distinction under which he now represents his country at the world championships. His lifelong affinity for the ocean and freediving inspired him to blend yoga with pranayama techniques.
Aside from the festival, He is currently sharing his wisdom at The Yoga Barn & Yogis Garden, or online immersions, retreats and coaching.
