Scott Bauer is long time Ubud resident who began his life in Queens, New York will share his experience, strength and hope on the arduous journey he has undertaken to find inner peace. His formal educational back ground, based in modern science proved to be unfulfilling and resulted in a detour into substance abuse. This journey led him to live in Aspen in the late 1970’s where he worked as a bartender in the Jerome Hotel serving celebrity patrons such as Hunter S Thompson. Always believing that his life’s challenges were coming from outside of himself Scott moved from place to place thinking that the proverbial ‘grass would be greener in the next location only to find himself and his same challenges each new town he landed. Finally after living in Maui, Dallas, Sonoma County, Cal, San Franciso Scott returned to New York working as a sommelier. It was here in the Big Apple that the bottom fell out of his life. Losing his job, his relationship and his apartment it was time to change or die, it was in these moments of desperate uncertainty thank something shifted in his perception. The world was coming from him not at him. It was then that his restoration to sanity began and the journey to Indonesia was beginning. Scott looks forward to sharing his  experience with Bali Spirit Festival and it is his intention that perhaps his message will help another sentient being find their way to contentment.
